A Big Stupid

Hello. I've been seen you for a long time. How are you? I have a thing that I want to let you know today. You'll ask me what it is. A New Hand

I going home by bicycle with a friend of mine, a patrol car was stopping at a railroad crossing. We trying to go past hastily, a bicycle just came from the opposite side. The policeman said us "stop, both" to direct traffic. Saying "yes", we tried to leave having a thankful heart on my mind. However "stop!"

Eh? Did we do something wrong? We wondered and knew the reason why we were forced to stop. The reason was parallel running. "This week being Traffic Safety Week, we won't ask your address." We had to tell him our name. "Are you on your way home from work?" …We are students. "Where is your university?" "What year are you?" "Being 20 years old, you…you have learned about the rule, haven't you?" "D…Don't run like this. Y…You may get hurt."

Oh my goodness! We carelessly got irritated. It seemed that he was still a new policeman, bit his tongue and what he said wasn't persuasive.

We were released at last and started going ahead then ladies' group came by bicycle from the opposite side. They did complete parallel running. The policeman might not warn them. He must strict people of feeble strength. I wanted to see that they were warned.

Just The Two Of Us

After my part-time job in a cake shop I had a date with my boyfriend. Today was an anniversary. Thanks for an e-mail to celebrate, Mari.

Dinner was sushi he was crazy about also today. We went to Sushiro on the Hamasen Street. I ate many adductor muscle of certain bivalve shellfish. A cup-steamed egg custard hotchpotch, a misoshiru made from reddish-brown miso and panna cotta were good.

After dinner we went a mountain to see an absolutely fabulous view. I felt as if there were just the two of us in the world. It was terribly cold, but I was really happy.

We trying to approach Kosa, it was a very heavy snow and it was likely to pile up. We don't have snow so muck in Kumamoto, so the level of my tension was so high and I was in jolly very much. However he was so hasty. "I may not be able to go back to my home town Yabe! Uh-oh!

A Free Gift

I took a test only at the 2nd period today. The given question in an outline of European history was just one. "Explain about the religious reformation by Luther." The textbook and a dictionary of Japanese history terminology helped me.

I went to a dentist from 3:30 pm. I arriving thereat 3:25 pm, it seemed to be still a rest period and was closed. I felt that I was being looked at by people in their cars on the street. I could enter there at about 3:35 pm at last. It was cold to get wet in the rain. I getting splashed in scaling a tooth, the doctor covered my face with a towel. "This treatment nearly ends, so survive!" What a kind doctor he was!

After that I had a date with my boyfriend. We went to youme town to have dinner in Hyakusai-Buffet, which was a smorgasbord-style restaurant. Today was a weekday, so they offered a free pork shabu-shabu. That was really fun and delicious. I ate custard pudding, powdered tea pudding and a lemon jelly for dessert. I was full, but there should be room for desserts. We had a happy time then.

The Raw Pasta

I went to a pasta restaurant named PASTA LISTA to have lunch with a friend of mine today. Before going there we went to another restaurant, but it was closed, so we went there. Fresh pasta was used there, and there were 4 kinds of courses for pasta lunch. We chose one it was the 2nd highest in price. I ordered a bacon cream soup pasta, and she did a cod roe pasta. The raw pasta had springy texture when we're eating them and was really delicious. I was glad that the course had a salad, soup and drink.

After lunch we went on to a karaoke place. We sang enthusiastically in COMIC BUSTER for about 3 hours. Corn soup and a powdered tea latte were good.

She was very good at massaging, so I had my palm of the hands massaged by her for a long time. It made me felt great as much as I felt a pain.

Feeling Strong Emotion

I did my part-time job in the cake shop for the first time in many days today.

We devoted our every moment to prepare for Saint Valentine. I wonder how many truffles I rounded and how many orange peels I formed in lines. However it might rather enjoyable today.

I received a salary after my job, but the pay envelope was strangely thicker than usual. I wondered that was a result of that I was full of energy during last Xmas season, I thought. I opened it as soon as I went home, and…

I found another packet in the same envelope. It was labeled "Congratulations for growing up to be a woman!" What was this? When I opened it, I was greeted by the sight of pretty pierced earrings. Wooooow! It was rather touching, wasn't it? The shop manager and his mistress! I very much appreciated what you've done for me. I'll still do my best hard hereafter. I swore to myself.

It Doesn't Mean The Very "Upright"

Congratulations for growing up to be men and women!

It was snow, hailed and even colder today, but we enjoyed outside of a ceremonial hall unless we take part in a ceremony, didn't we?

I went to a beauty salon at 6:30 am and was dressed in a kimono at 9 am.

I bustled, and it was a hard day from beginning to end, but my efforts payed off. I was glad to show my boyfriend myself dressed in a kimono. It was hard to wear a kimono for 9 hours, but my exhaustion disappeared after that.

To change the subject, when I tried to park my bicycle in a bicycle parking lot, there was a sign, which said "please park your bicycle from back to front." Following the sign, I parked mine normally, but a bicycle next to mine was…clearly strange! What do you expect how the bicycle had parked like?

It was parked exactly but was done plumbing to the ground. In other words, it was placed upside down and was very plumbing. I blurted out an impulsive "it doesn't mean the very upright!"

I saw that in a dream.

I wondered if I made you expect and lose out.

I strained myself, went to school yesterday and today, and I took a bad turn. We can see an abnormal proliferation of people who are in masks in our department. The flu seems to be going around tolerably. I'm scared won't I be much worse if I go to a coming-of-age ceremony? I'll be off from my part-time job today and tomorrow.

Writing IV Exam

1. I expect that my instructor correct the sentences written by me. I’ll do my best to write right sentences in English but sometimes will make some mistakes surely, so he noticing my mistakes, I want him to give advice to me. Also I expect his comments on my blogging. I blog while I want a lot of people in the world to seek my blog very much, so I want him to read it and leave his comments on it, too.

2. I learned how to enjoy using computers with how to write a variety of sentences or essays in English through I take this writing class. I also have another blog other than this blog in Google. I wrote the topics only in Japanese in the beginning, but I started to do in English, too when I learned how to enjoy using computers and writing a lot of essays or diaries for each days. Also I learn the importance of communication with a lot of people on the computers. I blogging in English, people from other countries sometimes give me some comments. It makes me so glad and, I come to be able to enjoy blogging more. I learned that English makes me change to a person who keeps at it. Thank you very much for a year.

What's The Cause Of Muscular Pain?

I had a burning throat and felt hot this morning, so I measured the body temperature, and mine was 38.3 degrees. I felt a pain in the back, the lower part of my back and the head. I thought is it by any chance influenza? So I was absent from school. I had a required subject today, Thursday, so it's a matter of regret that I couldn't go to school today. I went to hospital, where I got tested for the flu., and as a result of the test I didn't have the flu. I just seemed to have a cold. It's said that we feel in our joints if we have the flu., isn't it? Because of that I had expected that I had the flu. certainly, but thinking it over carefully afterwards, I realized that the cause of muscular pain was that I had did double-booking of watching 2 movies yesterday. I'll go to school tomorrow definitely! Also of course I'll go there the day after tomorrow because I must take a makeup lesson and a speaking test. I feel too lazy to go to school Saturday.

Double-booking

I had dinner at a curry restaurant in youme town with my boyfriend. I ordered spinachy taste chicken curry, and he did the dish just like a curry pilaf. Mine was colored completely green. It had no flavor of curry, …no flavor that seemed just right for spinach and…had the only sense that I put a stew colored green on the rice and ate. I prefer the pilaf colored red he ordered than mine. We ordered a coffee gelato. We putting the coffee on the gelato, it became softer, got hotter and was just great. It was the best for getting rid of an unpleasant taste in the mouth.

We saw the movie titled MIRRORS from at 6:40 pm. It was over 15 years old-only movie so was still very scary and interesting. After that we saw the another movie titled THE RED CLIFF. It was double-booking. Much as the second was also powerful and made us excited, even so we were exhausted after watching a series of 2 movies for about 5 hours. I felt a pain in the back, the small of the back and head from the middle.

I got home at a half to 2 am. I was sorry, Daddy and Mommy.

Free-writing About My Future

I want to be a ground hostess, a hotel receptionist or an officer in my future. For I like to dealing with people, to speak English, to communicate with foreigners and to help people in troubling. I study English at my university, have my own blog in English except for this blog and communicate with a few people from other countries now. I want to learn more about native English with those actions. They are preparations for my future. I don’t know hereafter very much, but I’m going to keep working till the day when my dream comes true.

Russian Roulette

My family went to my relatives' and held a New Year's party from this morning. We had osechi, traditional Japanese food prepared in advance for consumption during the first three days of the New Year and containing various specified ingredients, and a one-pot meal of crab. There were a lot of crabs, claws and prawns. They were so good. After having a one-pot meal, we made rice gruel in the pot and ate. It had flavor of crabs and vegetables so was very delicious, and it warmed up our bodies. My grandmother cooked stewed pieces of pig entrails, so we had them with a spirit distilled from sweet potatoes. I trying to dilute it with black tea, it was better than I thought.

After meal we played a variety of games. We played darts, cards and Russian roulette of monaka, bean-jam-filled wafers, for stakes. The contents of monakas were sweet bean paste, wasabi, miso, mustard, small sardines, mayonnaise, strawberry jam, blueberry jam, condensed milk and a pickled ume. That's to say there was only one possible winner in them! I got the one…with miso. Eek!!!!! Er…but…it was not bad very much. I liked it because it was just like a bun with a miso-jam filling.

After playing games, each had a piece of orange cake I bought the cake shop where I work. Everyone said it tasted good.

We had a happy time also today.

Countdown

It was New Year's Eve on December 31. I bought the gifts for the New Year, an hors d'oeuvre, and various other things at Tsuruya Store with my mother.

We went to the cake shop where I work to buy an orange cake, chocolate cake and a roll of ground rice. We're going to take them to my grandparents' on the next day.

My family had a year-end dinner while watching the Red and White singing contest. We enjoyed strawberry unfiltered sake. Oops, before this I ought not to forget to drink Ukon-no-Chikara! The sake smelled wonderful, sweet and was so delicious. We ate the hors d'oeuvre and a one-pot meal.

I had a date with my boyfriend from at 11:30 p.m. on the day. We sang at a karaoke bar for 2 hours. We performed duets such as songs of RADWIMPS, BUMP OF CHICKEN, Ketsumeishi, and a variety of singers. Corn soup was good. Finally the countdown had begun. 10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…

A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

We made the practice of visiting a Kengun shrine at the beginning of the New Year from at 1:30 a.m.. We threw 60 yen each into an offertory box. Do you think why we did 60 yen?

We bought good-luck charms and exchanged them. I gave him blue one.

When he pulled out omikuji it had modest luck, and mine had good luck to come. We bought 2 apple candies and 2 fish-shaped pancake filled with a sweet white paste made from white beans on the way back from the shrine. They were so good.

I hope this year is going to be wonderful.

Shabu-shabu

I had breakfast in Royal Host with my boyfriend on December 26. We ate hot sandwiches and sausages, but the former were not good, he-he.

It was fine day, so we park the car in a parking lot at Suizenji Ezuko Park to take a walk. Before that we took a rest for a while because I had a bad stomachache.

…Oops, at some time or other we had dozed off! We had slept like a log for a couple of hours in the parking lot.

We had lunch in Sushi-Ichiba which just had been built on Hamasen Street. We ordered using a panel, and it was interesting.

On the evening of the day I ate shabu-shabu with good 3 friends of mine in Minokichian. We enjoyed pork shabu-shabu after eating vegetable salad, lightly fried tofu and deep-fried chickens in a thick sauce flavored with sweetened vinegar. We were given 4 collagen balls and shabu…♪

The porks were tender and good. We had a very good time there. I ordered an alcoholic drink of ume mixed with soda water with one of friends of mine, and I felt good, he-he. On behalf of the dinner, we really enjoyed udon and soba. We were satisfied very much.

We went to FESTA to use a photo sticker, and men who I knew mustered there. I heard they were on their way from a year-end party. I was so surprised that we came across such a place. After using the photo sticker I went home by bus.

This was the last time we had meal in this year. It became a pleasant memory for me.

Merry Christmas!!

I took a day off and had a date with my boyfriend on December 25.

It was the long-looked-for Christmas day.

We had pig bone ramen in a Chinese noodle shop at DIAMOND CITY CLAIR. The couple sitting next to us ordered only one ramen and the boy ate an extra helping of noodles after the girl ate the first bowl. It looked lonely that they ate one by one, didn't it?

We rented a DVD "Lemmy's good restaurant" in TSUTAYA. I had watched it before, but it was still interesting.

I was gave a pair rings as a Christmas present by my boyfriend. I gave him a muffler colored green. Both were so glad.

We watched a night view in Aso. It was so cold, but we got out of the car, walked heavily along a green field and watched a wonderful view. It was just like a diamond and really beautiful.

We had the happiest Christmas day on the day.

After A Storm…

My consecutive part-time job from December 20 to 24 had finished at last. These days were just like a storm. During Christmas seasons it's still too busy at my work place; a cake shop.

I worked for 3.5 hours on 20th. I did for 8 hours on 21st. I did for 4.5 hours on 22 nd. I did for 14 hours on 23rd. I did for 12.5 hours on 24th.

Look! It was a storm, wasn't you?

I dashed about and sold and sold a lot of cakes as much as I could say "dondake---!!"

Anyway I was full of energy. I'll keep going to the end the next Christmas, too.

BR 2-12: Vanishing Cream

I read the book titled Vanishing Cream. The children made a little theater. The title of the play was Wizard Blot. A wizard and a frog appeared on the stage. I had a feeling that I have read the story on a certain book. I have put on a play titled Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I played a cat in it. I put on a gorgeous orange dress and danced on the stage. It was when I was a kindergarten pupil. Those were lovely times.

The children went to the Wizard Blot’s house in this book. His house was so dirty, and he ordered the children to tidy up the room. If they did not do, he was going to turn them into frogs. It so scared to me. They washed dishes, vacuumed a room, iron clothes, dusted shelves and polished the floor. When they waxed the floor, they touched the vanishing cream, and their bodies were vanished. It made me feel funny. A thief came to the house and was surprised at that the clothes were walking. They repulsed the thief and saved the computer disks. I was glad to see that.

I thought this story was not possible. Did the bodies vanish? How could it be? Oops, I had a distorted view of them, he-he. I also want to use such a cream once. If my body were vanished, what will I do? It seems very interesting.

BR 2-11: The Christmas Disco

I read the book titled The Christmas Disco. Two teachers decorated a tree. It was the Christmas tree. We also decorated one during this Christmas season. My mother decorated it. It had colorful balls such as pink, green, gold, white, blue and red. It also had pinecones. They are artificial but so pretty. It had no star on the top and had big golden bell with red ribbons instead. I felt an atmosphere of Christmas so much. There were a lot of another Christmas ornaments in my house. For example red and white poinsettias, pinecones in a woven basket, small woody Christmas tree, an earthenware Santa Claus, a Christmas wreath on the door and jellylike plates shaped Santa Claus on the refrigerator. Christmas was over, but they are still setting, he-he.

The people went to the Christmas disco at certain home. There were a lot of Christmas presents, dishes and the music was being played there. The children danced to music. They looked so fun. In my case, I was not at home on the Christmas day. I went out with my boyfriend on the day. I had dinner in a ramen shop at DIAMOND CITY CLAIR. We ordered pig bones ramens. They were so delicious. I was gave a pair rings as a Christmas present by him. They were made of stainless steel, so I thought he hopes our rustproof relationship, he-he. I gave him a muffler colored green, which was his favorite. Both were happy.

In the book they use so much electrical power that the power supply was cut off. It made me feel fun. They borrowed a lot of torches from a variety of houses and use them for lights instead of light bulbs. They looked so happy then. It seemed that they spent a wonderful Christmas day.

1. This portfolio template derives from the templates for Writing IIIc and Writing IVc portfolios (2007-08), and Writing III, §§1a & 1c (Fall, 2008).
2. Please use the same code in section 0.0 that you used to embed your proto-portfolios (PPFs) in the footer of your blog, which you should already have revised to display your 2nd (fall) semester PPF first.
   
3. The essays section (1.0. Essays, above) derives from Proto-Portfolio 2-02 (2008).
